If you value your computers, then get this!

Most people here have said it all. As an IT person, I cannot stress enough the importance of surge suppresors in conjunction with computing equipment. Computer components are very susceptible to electricity fluctuations or surges, and one too many will fry the internal components, rendering your computer a very expensive paperweight! well your never guess what happened..... our house got struck by lightning, the whole house shook and it wasn't good.
its lucky that i kitted my whole house out with these surge protectors no more than two months before this happened , they have more than likely saved me thousands of pounds.
so , like many others have said its one of those products that holds a question mark but i would seriously recommend that you invest in some of these, before its too late.

A product that really works.

As with all Belkin products you receive top quality manufacture and goods that really work.
This 1 way surge cube is designed to plug straight into your mains socket and it has two neon lights that give a comforting glow indicating that you are being protected from electrical surge and that your electrical system is correctly earthed.

I use mine combined with Belkins four socket mains adapter which also has surge protection thus giving double the protection.

If you think im being over cautious then thing again because early last year i actually put the entire system to test during a electrical storm.
Really i should have closed my computer down long before there was any danger of overload but true to form the serge switch on the four way adapter cut in aswell as this excellent Serge Cube.

Belkin also provide a comprehensive insurance against damage to equipment whilst using their products aslong as you can prove their equipment was to blame which is not that easy but when you have seen these products actually do their job of cutting power safely to your equipment then really a claim on their insurance should not be needed.

I have several Belkin products in use in my system and every one of them feels well made and bulit to last.Their products are neither expensive nor complicated to use and my favorite is definately their extension lead sockets with built in surge protection.They are beautifully made out of above average quality plastics and depending where you buy them do not cost the earth and used with this clever Serge Cube will give you peace of mind in protecting expensive electrical equipment of all kinds.

Does what it says

It works brilliantly i never realised the need for rotating sockets untill i bought this, now i realise just how useful that they are. It works brilliantly cut out the power to my pc during the last storm we had! a great product i will definatly buy another for my hi-fi and TV.

A great combination!

This is a great combination - 8 sockets, good protection and a 4m flex. The unit is neat, well made and even protects a phone line. 2 sockets rotate, allowing large power 'bricks' to be used without covering other sockets.
A good price for a unit like this.

Quick delivery, great product

Ordered from Amazon on Monday PM, arrived Wednesday AM. And that was with the free delivery. Very pleased. Excellent product. Plug sockets can be turned so you can plug in two AC adaptors opposite each other, etc. A must have for anyone with computers, scanners, printers, etc.

This unit is compact (so many can be used in-line on a multipoint adaptor for example) and protects both mains-powered devices and units plugged into the telephone line (via additional sockets in the base). I’m just about to build up a new pc and i decided that I should protect my investment. I’ve wondered wheter these are worth having. I’ve know of a compouter being broken during a thunder storm, fortunately only the power supply. However I think for 20 pounds its worth protecting all the system. (monitor, printer etc).
