It comes with a power adapter that isn't mentioned in the specs which means that it can support higher draw accessories such as external HD's and cameras all plugged in at once.
The design is very attractive when compared to some of the other products on offer but one thing I would say is that it's too light. What I mean by this is that if you have it resting on the rear edge of a desk like I do to save space then the cables attached will try and pull the hub off of the back, it doesn't however because of the rubber feet but it ends up at a 20 odd degree angle; it could do with a chunk of metal in the front to give it some more mass.
All in all, very pleased and I would recommend.

Belkin is top of the pops in the protection market, there are not many that can better them.Whithin a week of buying this surge master my neighbours' computer blew up beacause of a lighting strike. He was just plugged into the wall, no protection. My house was protected from top to bottom with surge protecters. computer,scanner & printer on one protector. Tele, dvd, video on another. This week Midi unit & my lap top on this proctor. I would not be without a proctor for any of my expensive units no matter what they are. No one should just plug their very expensive toys into the wall. Prevention is the best policy.26

The snagless design is very clever, I use it particularly on my Apple MacBook Pro, and constantly move around, which thanks to the great 15m length, is no problem at all!
Also this cable is technically futureproofed by being Cat 5e, if your inputs require Cat 5, do not worry, this is backwards compatible.
Overall, great cable at a great price, would not recommend anything higher than this cable without serious thought!

All Cabled Up
Brilliant cable, I use it at home to run a line from my network router through to my room upstairs. Basically, this hub is good for mouse, keyboard, usb fans, usb remote etc. kind of equipment; if you are thinking of plugging in data intensive enquipment like hard drives, usb flash drives, just forget this hub.
If you use this hub to plug in a hard drive into your computer, then data read/write speed will be very low; USB2 has been out for quite a while now. So do yourself a favour and get a USB2 hub, there are a couple nice ones here on Amazon's site, same price.

Suberb!
Just arrived today. I had my laptop downstairs right by the phone socket but wanted it upstairs. I’d heard that having an extension could decrease your connection speed. My average connection speed by the phone was 6.9mb.So I was a little nervous about getting a cable this long - but the price was right - so I gave it a go.
And I’m glad I did - I’m now upstairs, plugged in and surfing the net at a rate of 7.0mb!

More than happy
Just got new screens for my Mac and though I’d try out a DVI cable. Can’t fault this one - the colours are vibrant and its at least a third as cheap as any other cable of this length I could find in the shops. It really does make a difference to the monitor.Just be careful you get the right one - there is a difference between DVI-I and DVI-D so check your monitor/PC instructions to be sure.

I plugged it in it connected straight away,it has a nice solid feel the 4 grn LCDs only illuminate when in use so its easy to see if your periferals are connected. I have always found Belkin good.

So this little device is most useful, a normal ethernet cable has 8 wires within it but only 4 are used commonly for ethernet traffic. This device lets you connect to 2 ethernet devices on the end of 1 cable (you do need to buy 2 of these units tho for it to work and you will also need 2 ethernet female to female coupling blocks (Belkin Cat 5 RJ45 Inline Coupler (White) R6G050) as the economiser weirdly has a male RJ-45 plug!)Apart from that strange quirk, great little item!

a surge protector is only as good as it's customer support
I bought this product about 4 weeks ago. It's managed to ride out a few thunderstorms since then, but in a recent storm a few days ago, the telephone protector got busted. I've had to call tech support several times since, and most recently was told that someone would get in touch with me about details such as where to send the faulty product, but I've yet to hear from them. If you try calling them, your call gets routed to a call center in India, and you get put on hold for a awful long time. After 5 or 6 calls, I'm almost entirely convinced that this call center is staffed by ONE person. The first time I called, he took down my details, gave me a case number, then gave me a local number to call. I tried this number several times, but no one ever picks up. So I call him back, and the says a supervisor will call me back. No calls. I call him again, and this time he says he'll forward my claim to the claims department, and that I should expect a email. That was a few days ago, but no email to date. I would've expected much better tech support from a company like Belkin. We'll see what happens.36

No problems at all.
I was able to plug the cable into one of the sockets on my wirless router and my computer connected to the internet without a hitch (which is a nice surprise for a technology-amateur like me). Wire is tough and seems to be good value for what you pay.37

Does what it says

Quality Miniature Belkin
We already own a large Belkin surge protector which has protected our more expensive electrical equipment in our lounge and a smaller one for our computer equipment. In our spare room we've had our games machines and a small lcd tv and never thought about protecting it until some friends were round and they explained that last year during a summer storm they had lost ever item of electrical equipment from the only room in the house they didn't have surge protection and their insurance company didn't want to know!As all the equipment in our spare room is situated right next to sockets I didn't want to buy one with a long cable. This fits the bill perfectly and is much slimmer than the more expensive Belkin models.
Does exactly what it says (unlike some other adaptors)
I have tried a couple of one-piece plug adaptors to adapt a PS/2 Microsoft keyboard to a USB connection.They did not work. My PC"saw" the keyboard as a USB device but could not recognise it.
Looking at some noticeboards on internet, I think it may be possible to get them to work if I download certain drivers.
With this adaptor it really was"plug-and-play" and windows XP recognised and allowed the keyboard to operate in seconds.
I only needed to use it with a keyboard so have not tried it with mouse as well.
For my application I would have preferred a simple one-piece plug- but hey, it is more important to me that whatever I use works first time.
