iPhone 3G owners beware

Bought this for my iPhone 3G after reading online reviews saying it was compatible. However it isn't fully - FM transmitter works but no charging, and Belkin support have confirmed (although their US website lists it as compatible). Can only conclude there will be an updated version coming soon, potentially of the same name and part number. Otherwise this is a good product with a reasonable cable length to keep the phone away from the car audio and avoiding the usual GSM interference.

Read this before you buy

If all you are doing is transferring the kids' homework, then fine. I use my laptop for work. The programme crashed 7 times, each time about 1 hour in, so it's a bit frustrating. Not as much as Belkin's call centre; so far out in the sticks of the Ganges delta that I had to apologise into the sounds on the phone after asking the first operative to repeat himself several times and hang up, to try again, so I could understand 1 word. I mean it, not 1 word was understood. 2nd call to the non-network option told me I needed the network option. 3rd call to the network option said I needed the non-network option. 4th call to the network option couldn't help. WHAT? CAN'T HELP? If you've got a problem, you're on your own - believe me. I'm going to do this with a stack of CDRs. Thanks for nothing, Belkin, you've made a toy, not a tool.

poorly made expensive gadget

It looked like a great quality item. when it arrived, I fitted the 30G Ipod inside, very tight fit the pod was stretching the material. next day the cable management clip fell off due to a small metal clip that just wont stay in place, so i have been using it without the cable system but now after just 2 week the seem are cracking on the side, the elasticity is going. poorly made expensive gadget

Mobile Phone/PDA holder

Unit not as advertised. It may be OK for a mobile phone but is no good for anyone wanting it for a PDA. Had to modify mine (cut away foam from one side to fit my HP2210) which means that the lower PDA power/data socket is obstructed. Not the best of buys with p&p!!

Excellent little mouse

I agree with the previous positive reviews of this little mouse. It is a good quality mouse, feels solid and nicely tactile. The buttons click pleasingly and the changing LED colours are very pretty to look at.

The mouse is small, but not as tiny as others I've used. You can overcome the cramp problems by covering the whole mouse with your hand and clicking with the whole of your finger rather than having the tips of your fingers on the buttons.

An ideal mouse for using with your laptop. I find that I can use the mouse productively even with the mouse resting on the laptop itself (I have an Acer which has a lot of empty casing at the front)- perfect for when you're lounging on that hotel bed watching the telly at the same time.

Don't be tempted by the cheaper mini-mouse offerings, they are poor quality and need constant unplugging/replugging to keep them working. This one comes with a lifetime guarantee so you can't go wrong.

Excellent value

It's very lightweight and can handle small laptops as well as 17" and larger sizes,infact I'm using the small side (you just flip it over if you want to use the larger surface area on the cushtop) for my Dell Vostro 17" laptop.The cover is washable and has a zip on one side so it can be removed for cleaning.

Usual Belkin lifetime warranty but what can go wrong with a product like this unless somehow you tear the fabric.

Cushtop is very handy for having your laptop on your bed or lap.

Does what it says

I decided to buy the Belkin Surge Protector to protect my TV, DVD player and Playstation 2 which I didn't want to get damaged as a result of the electricity supply. It's great and you really can't lose anything from this apart from 7 or 8 quid. The best part of this is the cable thing which keeps your cables all neat and tidy.

And it's well better paying that than hundreds of pounds for new stuff. But on the other side you could say the likelehood of anything happening is rare. You're taking a risk if you don't buy this but it's up to you. If you don't care about your electrical goods I guess you aren't going to buy this. 9/10. John Mitchell

Really Great Product

Here before the delievery estimate, works well with my laptop to my LCD TV. Would advise if your doing the same ensure you have a headphone jack to AV OUT IN (Red and White) cable for sound, usually have then free with cameras etc.

Super Connectivity

Excellent quality cable with low distortion. my usb devices seem to work slightly quicker with the gold leads. Look great too!

Probably the worst wifi card I've ever bought!

This card is useless, I've installed it on my new HTPC and it can not pick a suitable signal up to be able to use the Internet at all.

The router is in the next room but my Laptop, 360, Wii & PS3 all connect fine to it which are all in the same room as my HTPC. What a complete waste of money!

Quality

I decided on this one after reading some slightly negative reviews of other products. Not wishing to buy an item and immediately have to modify it, I took the plunge and splashed on the Proporta.

Have had it for a few days now, and it really is a quality case. Quite stylish yet understated. Easy to flip open and make calls. The screen is protected by a hard metal plate inside the leather. You could definitely drop your phone a lot with this case and it would be completed protected.

To to summarise, if you are prepared to pay the extra for the quality, I'd go for this one.

plug and play

Connected my PS2 mouse & keyboard (from my PC) to my W2K laptop with this, worked straight away, great product.

For selected models only....

As well as those mentioned by the other reviewer, this case also fits the GPSMAP 60 and 76 series units.

It's a perfect fit for my 76CSx and a well made case, but check on Garmin's website before you buy.

I would have expected better from belkin

I have recently bought this item on the strength of having used various Belkin products of which I have been delighted with. However, this product falls short of Belkin's usual standard. Firstly, the unit switches off when a song fades in or has a quiet interlude (You can not turn this feature off.) Secondly, The unit emits loud beeps to tell you it's turning off which is really annoying. On the plus side the sound quality isn't bad and the display is pretty too. If it wasn't for the auto off feature this would be a good product but the negatives outweigh the positives so look elsewhere for a good FM transmitter.

Does the job

What can I say, it's a cable, it plugs in where it's meant to go and does the job. What I will say though is that the quality is really good and worth the little extra over cheaper versions, one of which I also have.

Great Product when paired with 125Mbps Belkin Router!

I purchased 4 of these 125Mbps Belkin Wireless-G Cards with the 125Mbps Belkin Router. The Computers are situated throughout the entire house; some with 2 walls from the router. The device works like a charm. I installed the software first; followed by the PCI card itself. I then set up my connection settings and off I went! No problems. It's quite good...

I have a 8gb iPod Touch and this case which I bought at Carphone Warehouse (and paid £25 for!!!).
So, since no-one has shared their thoughts yet, I figured i'd help you out.

The case looks good - it is made from a thick black leather with cream/white stitching around the sides. The bottom dips down so the Menu button can be reached, and has a gap at the top and bottom to fit the USB wire in, and the headphones, and a space at the top for the power/ standby button.
You also get a thin plastic screen cover that protects the iPod from being scratched on the glass front, however, put this on carefully, because mine is slightly wonky, and I haven't figured out how to, or even if I can remove it.

My only problem with the case is the fact that because it covers the back, it also covers the light sensor, which means that the Auto-brightness feature is unable to work, but this can be changed in the iPod Settings, by setting it at an unchanging level.

Overall, the case is a good, smart-looking protector for the iPod Touch.
