no quite sure what went wrong with the other lady's....

i've had this a while and it has been super. everything fits, nothing has given any indication of being poor quality and i am able to adjust volume/track while my ipod classic is in it. it is very comfortable and makes running much more fun!

Really poor..

In general, it's OK when it's working, but the auto-off functionality is hopeless, switching it off when there's music playing through. The volume is transmits the music at is very low, which is a particular nightmare when it goes to switch off, as it emits an extremely loud beep.

All it takes is a quiet song or a gap between songs and it lets out the huge beep and starts shutting down, which you can't prevent.

Rubbish.

I have a 8gb iPod Touch and this case which I bought at Carphone Warehouse (and paid £25 for!!!).
So, since no-one has shared their thoughts yet, I figured i'd help you out.

The case looks good - it is made from a thick black leather with cream/white stitching around the sides. The bottom dips down so the Menu button can be reached, and has a gap at the top and bottom to fit the USB wire in, and the headphones, and a space at the top for the power/ standby button.
You also get a thin plastic screen cover that protects the iPod from being scratched on the glass front, however, put this on carefully, because mine is slightly wonky, and I haven't figured out how to, or even if I can remove it.

My only problem with the case is the fact that because it covers the back, it also covers the light sensor, which means that the Auto-brightness feature is unable to work, but this can be changed in the iPod Settings, by setting it at an unchanging level.

Overall, the case is a good, smart-looking protector for the iPod Touch.

Not worth bothering with - I'm back here to look for an alternative...

I bought one of these a while ago and have just got round to trying it out. The signal to noise ratio is dire even under"test" conditions - in the car in the garage or even in the living room via a hi-fi. It's a pity because you can hear that the underlying quality of sound is there, but with the level of noise (hiss) that you get on top, personally I couldn't live with it for more than 30 seconds. So here I am looking for something much, much better (hopefully).

perfect partner for Ipod nano

Personally i dont think you can beat any of the Belkin Ipod accessories, this does exactly what its meant to & you can use the Ipod as freely as if it wasn't there. Much better than the other cheap types available.

Very stylish and portable case

Good value for money and a stylish little case, which in all ramification helps contain and protect my girlfriend ipod from any possible damages. Highly recommend if you looking to purchase one.

Great little gadget

Bought this to use for singing rehearsals and lessons.

Whilst it's not Abbey Road, it's perfectly good enough to capture two guitars and three voices to see what needs changing/fixing.

Singing teacher and other members of the group are now getting one after hearing mine.

does it work even when battery needs replacing

i have heard that the ipod battery needs replacing after a while so will this battery pack still work even if the battery needs replacing

Protection without Hindrance

For the first few weeks of my iPod touch ownership, I was unable to take Apple's wondrous new gadget anywhere without the constant fear of it getting scratched. So, after patiently waiting for the first cases to arrive, I went for one of these Belkin Silicone Sleeves being that it was relatively cheap in comparison to the plastic cases.

This product comes with the rubbery sleeve that fits snuggly around the iPod and also a thin film of plastic that sticks onto the screen so that almost the entire iPod is surrounded. The main function buttons and connector are left exposed. One immediate oversight of all of this, is that Belkin have neglected the fact that there is a sensor on the face of the iPod that detects ambient light so that the screen brightness can be automatically adjusted by the iPod. This sensor is covered over by the case so the sensor only ever detects darkness around it.

Another reservation I have about this case is that the Silicone material seems to be a magnet for dust and dirt. Having put it in a coat pocket the first time I used it, it seemed to attract a lot of unwanted dust.

The flexibility of the material is good as you can easily put in and take out the iPod from the case should you want to sit the iPod in its dock, for example, since it won't fit in with the case around it.

Overall, I do like this case, and I probably won't be buying a replacement, but there are still ways it could be improved.

Good case for the iPod touch

I got this transparent acrylic case for my 32GB touch and like it a lot.
I was so afraid of scratches to my iPod that I bought the case beforehand (and I would recommend anyone buying an expensive touch to do just that).
Making a decision on which one to get wasn't an easy process as you can't see what's on Amazon and there aren't many cases for the touch in the shops just yet.

For me it was between the Incipio Kickstand leather one, this Belkin number and the Griffin (which comes with a screen protector).
In the end I'm glad I bought this one. I still have the original screen protector (and I've since bought some replacement ones for later anyway) by the way.

What I really like is the ability to have your touch lying at an angle in front of you on your desk and you can watch videos, etc. Something which is not obvious from the poor description by the Belkin people *wink*.

The case comes with a plastic mount which easily unclips if you don't want it, which has a little leg that comes out and will support your iPod touch at about a 40-45° angle I would say. It's brilliant and just what I needed.

The overall build quality is good. The case is not that easy to open once the touch is inside, but with practice it gets easier. I don't mind too much the hinge at the top, it's not protruding that much to be honest. A lovely case well-made to protect my great touch, even if you can find cheaper alternatives out there.

Started to give the first time I put my iphone in it, just held together with glue (and not very well).

Like the other reviewer of this item I bought one originally thinking that it covered the full screen as the illustration depicts.

It's just a rectangle the same size of the screen and offers no protection above or below.

Thankfully I bought mine in a store and immediately took it back for a refund once I'd opened it.
