Superb piece of kit

Used on day delivered, tuned in and working within minutes of opening pack. Superb sound quality, crystal clear, no interferance.

Two days later, used for a trip to Scotland, needed to retune once but again the quality of sound was amazing. The best purchase I have made.

Added bonus is the cradle to hold your beloved Ipod keeping it safe and in view. Just remember to remove it and hide it away when you leave your car.

It sounds great but the design is flawed

Firstly the quality of the sound from the radio in my golf (54 reg) is excellent even on the m25, but the design is flawed as you cannot change gear easily due to the position of the cigarette lighter. Make sure that you check the position before you buy this product.

I get round the issue now with an extension cable - but not ideal. It's perfect in my wife's Honda.

Sweet fit

It fits snugly into your ipod with all ports and button accessible. It closes well and looks neat.

Be aware that in the picture that flip over part that covers the screen has no strap but the one you receive will. It;s a velcro strap that holds it in place. It doesn't change it much but just makes it uneven when laying on the table. I've actually tried another site to see if they have one without a strap but i couldn't find any.

A problem for me is because i am left handed when using my left hand to navigate round the ipod touch the screen cover always flips over making it very difficult.

Overall the ipod fits in the case well and the case does the job of protecting the ipod as well as looking good.

If you value your computers, then get this!

Most people here have said it all. As an IT person, I cannot stress enough the importance of surge suppresors in conjunction with computing equipment. Computer components are very susceptible to electricity fluctuations or surges, and one too many will fry the internal components, rendering your computer a very expensive paperweight! Save yourself the hassle and get this: a simple, straightforward, wallet friendly solution.

Ordered this Dec 31, and got it Jan 4th! As always, Amazon delivers! Kudos to Amazon on this. One of the reasons why I keep on coming back and getting stuff, as they are very reliable.

I just bought this piece of junk from PC world and I am regretting that I cant locate my reciept, bcos I ve to take it back for refund. It does not work with Aol, netgear and as much as I try to let windows manage this connection, its of No use. If you want internate connection for two seconds, then you can use it, cos it only lasts for just 2 minutes of internate connection and 7 hrs of hell trying to reconnect it. Its junk. Trust me.

works great

I live in a community (not a commune) and we share cars here, so i can be driving any one of 15 different cars or vans. this tuner works in all of them, new cars and old cars alike, its easy to use and the sound quality is just like listening to the radio. my only complaint is that there is no stand for the ipod, which is a real hassle in some cars. I should also point out that i use a 2nd generation nano, i don't know how it works with 3rd generations.

Stay clear & buy something else!

I had no idea how fast and reliable my broadband connection was until this piece of rubbish one day decided to die on me. I persevered with this unstable, unreliable piece of kit for 6 months, Tried everything: having firstly with Belkins own software (waste of memory and useless), then uninstalling the software and used just the drivers, both with and without the adaptor (which appears to have no effect whatsoever).
Slight improvement once I'd uninstalled the Belkin software, but I just got so frustrated how one minute I'd have 'excellent' then the next 'poor', or anything inbetween. Even when the connection appears to be excellent, it can be so slowwww.
As I'd spent £30 on it (at the time) I stuck with it although almost throwing it out the window on several occasions!

Last week, it decided to throw in the towl altogether and I'm now SO glad it did. My friend gave me a Netgear WG111v2 adaptoe (only 54Mb/s) and it flys by in comparison. Now I have stable, fast connection. Just wish I'd thrown the Belkin in the bin months ago!!

Great product, both the look and usability

OK, a quite comprehensive reply has already been left but if you're like me, you know a little bit about computers and want something simple to set-up and use either through a LAN or wireless then this baby's for you. It really was just a case of plugging in the cables with very little configuring. The wireless set-up was straight forward and I recommend following the whole process to ensure a secure connection, I used a USB key and this allowed me to set-up each wireless device quickly and simply. OK the LCD screen is a bit basic but it's still a million times better looking than any other wireless router. It's been about a month since it's been comnnected and it's faultless. The internet is via cable and connects to one machine and I can access it from any machine on the network.

Quirky.....but does its job in the end

I bought the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable last week to transfer the files & drivers from my old XP to my new Vista. I was quite excited by the prospect of transferring all my files so easily. I was all ready to write a glowing review on Amazon with 5 stars!

As per the instructions provided, I downloaded the driver on my XP and followed the instructions on the screen. So far so easy. I then selected the files and folders to transfer and started the transfer process. After an hour, I realised that it had stopped transferring, as my Vista laptop went to sleep after staying idle. So I disabled the automatic sleep mode on both laptops. I then started the transfer again. Meanwhile, I had a little nap. When I woke up, (after 1 hr), about 25% was complete. I then watched a programme on TV and came back to it after 30 mins.....it still was stuck up in the same place!! I cancelled the process, and after I cancelled it, I got the message that one of the files could not be transferred for some unknown reason. The result? I was back to square one, with nothing transferred (you cannot transfer partially). I now decided to write the review with 4 stars.

I then tried again the next day, this time being careful not to select the folder it was not able to transfer the first time around. Again, I went to sleep. After 2 hours, I realised that it was again stuck at one point for more than an hour. I had to cancel again. I figured out that this time, automatic Java update had started on my Vista via the wireless internet. If any other programme runs on the laptops, it just stops transferring without giving any warning! I then switched off the wireless switch on both the laptops.

I then decided that this was the last time I would try to transfer. If it works, 3 stars, & if it doesn't....1 star. This time the transfer was successful, quite smoothly and relatively fast.

All in all, it has its quirky bits. Make sure that no other programmes run, and no automatic downloads are taking place, the laptops are set not to go into sleep or standby mode after a while, & exclude the problem folders where the transfer process appears stuck......the transfer is fast and easy.

Rubbish

This product is a total waste of money. I bought one for my wife for Christmas & took it back the week after. I did, after much searching found a signal but it was so weak the tunecast was dropping it & then turning itself off becuase it didn't detect a signal. I tried it with all the radios we have but gave up becuase the reception was so bad. I really did expect better from Belkin. I've since bought an iTrip from Griffin which is superb. If there was an option, I'd have given it no stars.

Good value for money - bit too much packaging!

Love this little bluetooth adapter because it picks up my nokia 6500 slide very quickly and is unbelievably small! It's also a lot cheaper than many other adapters on the market. I don't actually use it as much as I thought I would but it's good to have it there. My only complaint is that when In opened it I thought there was way too much packaging considering the size of the thing. Also, the amazon packaging was a massive box...really unecessary. At least the thing works and it's made by Belkin so you know it's quality. Luckily the Belkin online support is good and I had the software up and running in a few minutes. Overall, very pleased but there was a bit too much packaging for my liking...hence the 4 stars.

Excellent slimline case

This little case is perfect to keep your Nano 3g safe and looking good. This case fits perfectly (had a case similiar to this before, and this one is smaller). Case has an in-built screen protector which saves you having to hunt around looking to purchase one.

Not quite what I was expecting

For me this was one of those occassions where the ability to visually inspect the items before you buy would have been a plus. I ordered the folio as it looked pretty sleek and receieved good reviews. To be fair, I'm not too disappointed with it, after all, it protects my iPod which is all I bought it for.

My first gripe was with the frivolous and, in my view, unnecessary hexagonal embossing on the front and inside. I completely missed this when looking at the on-line pictures. Perhaps I should have looked closer - for whatever reason, I just missed it. For me, it ruins the effect of an otherwise reasonably well crafted piece of leather. It could have looked like an expensive gentlemen's wallet, but instead, it looks more like a cheap Top Shop fashion purse.

Second and, to me, more important, it was described as having a magnetic closure, but the one I got has cheap and nasty Velcro. This one I really can't blame myself for. Put simply, if it had said Velcro on the product decription, I just wouldn't have bought it, so I *do* feel a bit cheated.

I could send it back but, like I say, it does work and fits reasonably well (I didn't experience the slippage with my 80Gb Classic that other purchasers did.) However, I can't imagine it'll be too long before I'm looking around for another case.

Beware does not work with BT Broadband

Bought this by mistake, although was not clear from description. Spent an hour trying to connect until phoned Belkin helpdesk (in India) who informed me that this product will not work with BT Broadband. I am sure it is a good product hence 3 stars, but never got it to work.
Amazon refund service excellent. Includes printed label for free return

Also bear in mind this product requires a seperate ADSL modem.

If you want one that works with BT and includes a modem you need the F5D8631UK4A at slightly more cost, but same connectivity rates and power.

WORTH BUYING

When I first saw this i was ready to buy it, after reading other peoples reviews else-where this is a must have. The product comes with 2 back trays one for the 80gb moela nd one for the 160gb so fits both. It protects from scrathes well and looks the part. I got mine from an amazon seller at a good price , but else where these are around £24.99 ! so worth having a look around before you buy to get a great deal
- only downfall would be that the arylic does mark, and picks up surface marks- but better that than your ipod....

This is a good product

I was really surprised when i got a parcel today! i order it on the 3rd March and it came on the 8th! it only took 5 days! i was so delighted as i needed it for my holidays which is in a weeks time! when i was looking on amazon for a hard clear case i found this product! it is a good product as it covers all the ipod nano apart from the bottom where you put your headphones and etc you can also acsess the wheel as it has a thin cover over it and protects it from getting mucky! I find this product very usefull!

The only reason why i put 4 stars was the posting and packaging was quite exspensive! but if you look anywhere else this is still the cheapest!

I've just bought one of these units for my new 80GB iPod. I don't normally go to the trouble of reviewing online purchases but this unit is worthy of praise.

I'm a musician and I bought the Tunetalk to record acoustic demos of song ideas when I'm going backpacking round the world next year. I road-tested the Tunetalk's low quality setting and I was highly impressed with the sound quality (especially considering its miniature size). The sound is clear and sharp and more than adequate for jotting down musical ideas! The unit seems to integrate smoothly with the iPod's interface too.

Worryingly my PC refused to recognise the iPod after I saved several trial recordings to its hard drive, but a full reboot of the iPod fixed this. (Hold down the central 'select' button and the Menu button together for 6-10 seconds till the Apple logo shows.)

I originally rated this as 3 stars due to these technical difficulties (under the impression a severe fault had developed with the iPod as a result of using the Tunetalk unit). But I wouldn't hesitate to rate this at least 4 stars! Recommended buy.

Cheap and chearful

I had been waiting for 802.11n equipment before buying my first wireless setup. But I have yet to see a review of a draft n setup that truly seemed worth the money, and ratification of the 802.11n standard just seems to keep slipping (latest estimate 2009). So I decided to go for something cheap and chearful in the mean time. Chose an accesss point rather than a router because I didn't want to ditch the wired adsl router I have (bought from my ISP, so well supported and I have the firewall rules setup as I want them).

This plain 802.11g access point is just what I was looking for - cheap, and once it is setup works reparkably well. I have paired it with an EDIMAX EW-7318USG usb adapter, and the combination works just fine. I get a usable signal from a couple of rooms away, without drop outs.

The only quirks I would mention are with the software. The windows client (used to change the IP address of the box) claimed that the IP address change had failed, when it had in fact succeeded. The Web client (which I used to change the box from the default"Repeater" mode to"Acesss Point" mode) seemed to"hang" the access point. After a hard reboot of the access point, everthing was fine, however. All in all, pretty good for the money.
